Day 9 Sept 16 Goblin Valley SP, Capitol Reef NP, to Torrey UT

Today's morning walk was delayed due to rain. But the rain dispursed quickly. Then we were off. Paul noticed the oil a bit lower than it had been but still above minimum. We found similar oil at an auto parts store, but not the exact one. So we went to Maverick, and Loves not nothing even similar there, so we are back at the same auto parts store. He bought several quarts of oil put one in and no change, put a second one in and it was over the max fill line. I went back in the store and got a referral to a mechanic to drain some out. A customer familiar with diesels said it was no big deal and not worth going to spend hundreds at a mechanic to drain it.
On the way to Goblin Valley Mercedes days she has too much oil. I wanted to ask the Google how to let some out, but no internet. We reached Goblin Valley. Got our brochure and went looking for goblins. We saw a wonder in the parking lot. It's an out and back to a little valley with cute little midget sand stone formations. Our oil indicator turned back to green. But is still over the fill line. Paul said it will turn yellow again as it gains pressure. We saw a prong horned antelope right on the road but he bounded away before I could get the camera ready.
We are lunch at Dukes slick Rock Cafe. A John Wayne themed restaurant. Very good.
After lunch we went to Capitol Reef. It is a subduction zone between 2 tectonic plates. We took the scenic drive. One side juts way up. It's pretty impressive. The road has no underpasses for water and we can see where it has washed over the road in many places. They're are places work a variety of fruit trees, that surprised me.
Mercedes got us to the town of Torrey but sure took off the wrong way to the RV park. We called the park and she found us and talked us in.  We have good wifi, TV, power and sewer.
Paul's evening project is chasing flies with the fly swatter.
